Bloomberg was told by “two unnamed sources” that Amazon is working with Foxconn to build the upcoming Android smartphone. The so-called Kindle Phone would likely run the same modified version of Android as its larger Kindle Fire cousin.

New Backlit Kindle e-Reader On Its Way?

The world of e-paper and e-readers has had a lot of new changes heading towards it recently, this includes color technology and now even an e-Ink Kindle that has a built-in backlit display. According to Devin Coldewey at TechCrunch, who managed to catch a glimpse of the device, it’s light was a real game-changer for reading in the dark but it was a much softer glow than the harsh lighting that it found with typical backlit LCD screens.

Jeff Bezos Worried About Piled Up Cash, Wants To Raise Apollo 11 Rockets

And that is why when most other people work overtime for paying the monthly rent, he gets to do interesting stuff like raising rocket engines from the bottom of the ocean. Bezos has announced that his exploration team has found the five F-1 rockets that carried the Apollo 11 rocket into space.

Amazon Kindle E-Ink Color Device In The Works?

When it comes to e-ink, you won’t get high-res graphics or color like an iPad, but you do get that easy-on-the-eyes B&W newsprint style view of your text and images. There are currently only a hand full of color e-ink solutions out there and even fewer, like the Ectaco jetBook Color, are very expensive (around $500). Most are from brands that we have never heard of.
