If you love taking your skateboard no matter wherever you go, you might agree that it is difficult to carry the lengthy thing around. The Snap Skateboard, which is said to be the world’s first folding skateboard, might be the answer to your troubles. As you can see, the skateboard can be folded up and will easily fit into your backpack.

The Snap Skateboard can be folded from 36 inches down to 14 inches all thanks to two patented hinges. Its deck is made up of aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum. A wooden deck was avoided most probably because it would crack if cut into pieces. The board features high-strength steel pins for locking the hinges in place, and also comes with grip tape. You will also be able to replace the wheels and trucks with skateboard parts of your choice.

As for the safety, its makers are saying that it has been designed for both tricks and cruising, although the middle might buckle if it’s pushed too hard. So you might wanna do some ground tricks first before moving onto big jumps.

The Snap Skateboard retails for $119.

The new iPad, as you know, has arrived with impressive specs, but all those features have resulted in the device becoming fatter and heavier. That’s certainly not a big problem, but those of you who are dying to see a super-thin tablet should check out the Android-running Archos G10 XS, which is the latest in a series of G tablets from the company.

Yes, that’s yet another Android tablet. But while all the other manufacturers focus on design and specs to set their Android tablets apart from other Android slates, Archos is concentrating on another aspect: material. The tablets in the G10 series will boast a chassis that is made of “paper-thin” steel, rather than aluminum.

The new material might have helped the company to design the G10 XS with a thickness of only 7.6mm. In comparison, the new iPad measures in at 9.39mm. But an incredibly thin tablet is not actually a big thing. It won’t be effecting user experience that much. Hopefully the device, which will be running Ice Cream Sandwich, will arrive with attractive specs.

And the slate also has a keyboard dock (which doesn’t appear to be adding that much to the thickness), which might make it a rival to the Asus Transformer Prime. No hints on when the device will be released, but we are expecting it to arrive sometime later this year. It will have a price tag between €200 and €400 (around $250-500).

The company is also planning some budget and mid-range models, head here if you want to take a peek at some promotional materials.

According to available info, the iPhone 5 will be released in September or October 2012. This new info comes to us via Macotakara, a Japanese website, who were apparently tipped off by an “Asian reliable source”.

As you might know, Apple had a tradition of launching a new smartphone every year in June or July, a trend that ended with the arrival of the iPhone 4S in October last year. The new rumor makes sense as the company will most likely won’t think about releasing a new iPhone less than a year after the iPhone 4S came. And also the sales numbers of the 4S suggest that a fall release is not bad at all.

And the iPhone 5 is also expected to feature larger changes to the hardware (what they didn’t do with the 4S), although rumors are also flying around against that idea. But we haven’t got any confirmation about what all changes are coming all thanks to Apple’s notorious secrecy. Rumors point towards a device with a new aluminum back plate, 4+ inch display, a revamped antenna system and a quad-core A6 processor, but at this point, it will probably be the A5X.

But we all know what’s coming first. March 7th is the day we are waiting for. We will keep you updated on all things Apple. So stay tuned.

Have your outdated electronics taken up half of your room’s space? Perhaps they are piling up in the garage. Before you start planning to move to a large place, you might want to check out this ‘N+ew’ solution from Chilean Rodrigo Alonso. Of course, there are many recycling programs out there that will help you with your e-waste problems. But this new idea will help you to keep the memories as well.

Alonso has come up with a new way to make furniture out of all that electronic waste. Dubbed N+ew (or No More Electronic Waste), the showy seats are composed of e-wastes including circuit boards, multi-colored wires, computer components, QWERTY keyboards, and even scratched CDs.

He dumps all those stuff into a large cubic mold which is then filled with a clear epoxy resin and melted recycled aluminum to bind everything together. When it’s set, it will be polished to a high-gloss finish.

The result will be fine looking furniture which will also serve as a time capsule, and we won’t have to wait 100 years to take a peek at what’s inside.

The whole idea is definitely something that might become more popular in the coming years, especially because of the changing technological landscape which results in the introduction of new electronics which are e-wastes of the future.

Check out the gallery and you can place your thoughts in the box below.

I hung out with a couple of car clubs and we would talk about the different upgrades that we had done to our cars and any future plans we had for more modifications. Carbon fiber always made its way into the conversation.

While getting a carbon fiber hood can reduce some weight and potentially improve your performance, it won't mean much when you're weighed down by a couple of giant subwoofers. Then again, the carbon fiber and aluminum used for the Sleek Audio SA7 earphones could indeed make you go faster. Then again, the carbon fiber and aluminum used for the Sleek Audio SA7 earphones could indeed make you go faster. Or not.

In all seriousness, these are some super premium headphones for your mobile music enjoyment. The SA7 pair are made from military-grade solid aluminum and carbon fiber, giving them not only a unique look but also a unique performance dynamic. Carbon fiber would provide a tight fighting sealed enclosure, giving you a very sweet tuned sound. The two drivers are protected by shock-absorbent silicone too.

According to Sleek Audio, these brain-rattlers should withstand up to 14,000 Gs of force and the aluminum design actually heightens the audio quality, providing an extra octave of sound to boot.

Expect the Sleek Audio SA7 premium earphones to go on sale soon in the $350 to $400 range. The wireless version chimes in at a $100 premium above that.
