HP EliteBook tablets with magnesium alloy, impact resistant glass, ship April

Both the 2740p and 2540p are engineered to meet the tough MIL-STD 810G military-standard tests for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high and low temperatures. They also are EPEAT registered in the United States and offer ENERGY STAR qualifying configurations.

With the tablet PC category in portable computing growing quickly, HP today announced that their latest line of EliteBook convertible tablets will begin shipping next month.

The duo are named the EliteBook 2740p and 2540p, powered by a choice of Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors, ranging from 2-4GB RAM (Upgradeable to 8 GB), encased in a beautiful stainless steel finish and magnesium alloy case for durability. Prices will start from $1099 to $1599 depending upon your configured options.
