Chat could be coming to Facebook for BlackBerry devices

BlackBerry chat on FaceBook would be a dream to many users.

The Facebook for BlackBerry app is already pretty good at letting you update your status, view your friends’ walls, and peruse through the uploaded pictures. How about Facebook chatting? That feature isn’t available as of yet, but while randomly browsing through the application permissions within Facebook, a BlackBerry user found a slot that asked for permission to use the integrated instant messaging service, which doesn’t exist.

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a fan of any of those Facebook games. I don’t want to know about your new fish in your aquarium, and I am not at all interested in joining your Mafia family. Even so, it seems that these games are more popular than ever and none are quite as iconic as Farmville. If you can’t get your farming addiction satiated through Facebook, then you’ll be glad to hear that you can take your rake on the go with Farmville for iPhone. This is a mobile version of the casual game, offering much the same functionality as its Facebook counterpart.

SXSW hot with mobile location-oriented services: Who’s stalking you today?

All the rage at SxSW this year happens to be mobile-location oriented services. The divide between digital and real world is quickly vanishing. Social-networking is on an upward spiral of acceptance. Services that connect your physical whereabouts with virtual friends is gaining ground and companies like FourSquare, Gowalla, BrightKite and Whrrl are making it all happen. Where are you? What are you doing? Who will know where you are? The PSD file format is so popular that even rival image manipulation programs support the PSD file format. With Adobe re-branding its flagship software as CS “Creative Suite” and creating an application for the iPhone, it was only a matter of time before we saw Photoshop for the Google Android line of phones. Called the “Photoshop.com Mobile for the Android 1.1” – it allows the user to do easy photo editing and image effects on the fly.
