The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is one of my favorite current Android tablets, but it looks like Asus is outdoing itself with the successor. What we once knew as the Eee Pad Transformer 2 is now officially revealed as the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. And yes, it’s got Kal-El going on.

Supernote Takes Super Notes On Your ASUS Tablet

Now I have another reason to make me want go back to school, and that is Supernote. Supernote is an app that helps you takeā€¦notes, but in a super way. It had previously been shown on the Eee Pad Transformer and Slider earlier this month, when ASUS brought out the OTA update to Android 3.2.1, but now there are more details on new features within Supernote and they sound really nice.

These days it’s fairly common to find notebooks with 1366×768 resolution displays, even if they happen to be 15-inch screens. That’s the same with this first generation of Ultrabooks from companies like Asus and Acer. However, the Ivy Bridge-powered ultrabooks next year could make a quantum leap beyond full HD.

Asus Eee Pad Slider shipping at $400, running Android 3.1

Asus has lifted the lid on their Eee Pad Slider, making it available online for orders and immediate shipping. As previous rumors had it, the 10 inch tablet would feature an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB RAM and an integrated keyboard. Plus, the SL101 Slider would come in two versions, allowing you to choose between 16GB of storage space and 32 GB. Of course, the price will also vary $400 for a 16GB unit and $550 for a 32Gb one.

Asus Gets Confused with Eee PC VX6S Lamborghini

Maybe I’m missing something here. I’m in Taipei for Computex and I made my way over to the Asus booth. Naturally, the Padfone is a pretty big draw, but the netbooks and notebooks are pretty important too. Then, I saw the Asus Automobili Lamborghini Eee PC VX6S and I’m left scratching my head.

And why not? Asus is is set to release their own re-engineered iteration of the Motorola Atrix 4G dock, riping out the keyboard making a dockable smartphone slate, we have the PadFone. This is a new generation of devices to hit the streets and all they are is just a shell without the guts and brains. Slide your smartphone into the PadFone, and you have just made buying a computer more efficient. Rather than two massively destructive impacts on the earth, you have just one marginally less destructive.

iPad 2 Challenger: Android Honeycomb ASUS Eee Pad Transformer available to US late April

If you’re on the fence about going Android, still considering the iPad 2, but haven’t made a commitment just yet then maybe you should ponder things over for a little while longer. The UK and Taiwan release of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer were a success; it shortened supply (doesn’t this always happen) for the rest of the world. Now with an end of April release, the $400 Android 3.0 (honeycomb) iPad challenger is set to make its debut to the US.
