Your iPhone certainly allows you to take some good photos and you can take some great shots, but having a way to mount your iPhone would even give you greater opportunities for the perfect shot. That’s exactly where the new Stickable Resin guard for the iPhone 4 or 4S comes in. This unique case offers a way to protect your phone for scratches and also mount it onto any glass surface for handsfree functionality or photography stabilization.

The new Resin line from Uguard.me is available in a variety of candy, matte, and metallic colors, and, according to the makers, is made with top-quality, durable, and anti-UV materials for ensuring superior protection. All you have to do is apply the skin to each side of the device (not the screen, of course) and press the phone’s backside onto a glassy surface to keep it mounted. Mounting should be done only after making sure that both the surface of the case and glass are clean.

Besides providing anti-scratch protection, the case adds an extra grip, but we are not sure how much it will protect the device from falls, it would be better if it was thicker. If you want to remove it, they say that it will come off easily without leaving residue. The best feature of this case is without a doubt, it’s ability to stick to surfaces, although it promises just temporary mounts. Of course, no one would want their iPhone to stick to a surface permanently. According to Uguard.me, it won’t stay mounted for “hours or days”, so this is just a temporary mount for a few photos, plain and simple.

The case could be helpful when traveling in a car, when you can’t roll the window down but need to take pictures or videos. You can mount the device on the window and this way you will also avoid window glares (and this will work well with the new app). Or you can stick your device onto the microwave in your kitchen for a quick app use. Check out the video for more uses.

Head here if you are interested in the product. It comes with a price tag of €15.50 (around $20).

We know that you all love the camera on your iPhone 4S, but what if the device could also look and feel like a classic camera. The Gizmon iCA Military Edition case developed by Four Corner Store for the iPhone 4 and 4S will take you back to the era of military photographers and their Leica range finders.

The iCA Military Edition, which is a new variant of the Gizmon iCA iPhone case introduced last year, comes with a real optical viewfinder and a top mounted shutter button. It is made up of 23 durable polycarbonate pieces, which give it the Leica look while offering good protection from the occasional bumps and the case will allow you to attach a macro lens ($45) or a fisheye lens ($55) onto it for creating new effects. It also comes with a detachable tripod mount on the bottom.

So that’s a cool looking case that will feel like a real classic camera in the hands when you are taking snaps. But it appears like the new case won’t be a good fit for your pocket. And as for the lens on the case, it’s fake.

The iCA Military Edition case is currently available for pre-order and it comes with a price tag of $70.00. It will be shipping on March 17th, which by the way is also St. Patrick’s Day.

Annoying co-workers and unmanageable older brothers causing trouble in your life? Help has finally arrived, provided you own an iPhone 4S/4/3GS, or iPad/iPad2 or iPod touch (or all if you are rich and a bit crazy about all things ‘i’). The iLaunch Rocket Launcher is a weapons system which will allows you to rain darts on those who intrude your personal space; and it can be controlled with your iDevice.

Of course there are a lot of others ways to take care of the intruders, such as letting your fists do the talking. But that’s certainly not recommended as co-workers are humans who can get hurt and complain to your boss, and older brothers are usually bigger also.

The iLaunch Rocket Launcher, which allows you to take revenge on the annoying ones in an “entertaining and legal way”, will let you fire foam darts at targets as far as 25 feet away. All you have to do is get the iLaunch Controller App available free on the App Store and the launcher can be controlled via your iDevice (running iOS 5.0.1 or higher).

The iLaunch comes with air powered pistons for firing the darts and rechargeable Lithium battery which can be charged via your computer’s USB port.

But it doesn’t look like it can actually give you immunity from the annoying intruders. We have a slight feeling that it might worsen the situation, but 25 feet of range means more time for you to run to safety. Yet, firing darts will always be fun, especially if your enemy is also equipped with an iLaunch. So, are you interested in a battle? Head here if you are looking forward to playing with the $79.99 iLaunch Rocket Launcher.

Your iPhone should be making your life a whole lot easier thanks to all the features that it brings with it. But for accessing all that power while you are driving your car requires complicated docking accessories or different types of cables, or a well trained brain for handling your car and the device simultaneously (not recommended!). But all that will change with the arrival of Dash, a car stereo system custom-made to fit the iPhone 4 and 4S.

As soon as you connect your iPhone to Dash, it starts charging the device and also lets you turn your iDevice into a car audio system of its own. You will be able to place your phone safely into Dash’s faceplate (yes, no more stowing your device in cupholders) and simply access everything via your iPhone’s touchscreen.

The system amplifies the audio and could also be used with GPS and navigation apps. And non iOS users should not feel left out as the company, Colorado based Devium, is reportedly working on faceplates that will fit Android and Windows Phones. But the only problem is that you will have to give up access to your car’s current radio and satellite hook-up, but there are several apps out there as good replacements.

The $300 stereo system is a kickstarter project and it appears like the campaign has raised more than enough money the company needs to manufacture and sell it. But if interested, you can still show your support. Check out the video to know more about Dash.

Although many believe that there is no need for a case for the iPhone, we think that’s a really bad idea. That is why we let you know whenever an awesome case is introduced. The new product that you see above is the AQUA TEK S case for iPhone 4 and 4S from Snow Lizard Products, and it does more than just protect your iPhone from falls and hits.

The AQUA TEK S is waterproof and boasts a dirt resistant poly-carbonate ruggedized casing, which promises protection for your iPhone during your roughest treks. You can dive with it up to a depth of 20 ft (6 m) and it will be comfortable in the hands all thanks to the rubber grips.

The new case also features a solar panel on its back that will recharge a built-in battery to ensure that your device has an extended life. Meanwhile, the phone can be recharged and synched by opening the thumb screw at bottom of the case. The case’s battery has not yet been finalized, so the unit’s capacity is not available at the moment. But all that protection will make your device a bit bulky, but that’s always better than a broken iPhone.

And there are the usual cut-outs which will allow you access to the device’s touchscreen, volume buttons, speakers and the camera. The case will be available in nine different colors including Signal Orange, Black Night, Urban Camo, Reggae Camo, Navy Camo, Desert Camo, Jungle Camo, Pink Camo and Leopard.

*** Grain of salt alert ***

We have seen a lot of iPhone 5 rumors earlier, but this new one seems to be pretty trustworthy. It comes to us courtesy of the folks over at 9to5Mac who appear to have got the latest info on the next generation iPhone, tentatively called iPhone 5, via a Foxconn worker.

According to the new rumor, the iPhone 5 is ready for production at the moment and the company is planning a summer launch for it. The source has also revealed that there are many sample devices, each differing slightly from the others. So it’s impossible to tell which device will be final.

But all of these samples are equipped with 4-inch or larger screens, with one of them being made by LG. None of the samples have a MacBook Air-inspired teardrop shape (we don’t think that rumor is coming up again). They are symmetrically shaped and not a single one is having the same compact form factor as the iPhone 4 or 4S.

If the device is indeed coming with a larger screen, that will finally put the iPhone in the same display league as many of the competing Android handsets such as the Droid RAZR.

And we don’t think too many grains of salt are needed for this new rumor. Unlike many other rumors which bring out a device’s specs and tons of speculations, this new one is very vague. We have not got any exact display size, no blurry pictures of the handset and nothing about what’s under the hood. If it was made up, it won’t be too difficult for someone to pick a few possible specs.

And there is also the mentioning of the samples. As you might know, reviewing samples before selecting the final model is a standard procedure. And to add to all that, this is the same source who tipped on the iPhone 5 last year that the device was not coming and suggested we should expect the iPhone 4S. The rest is history.

You might have wondered how it is possible for pod2g to have an untethered 4S device when dev teams still haven’t released tools to achieve this at home.

Wonder no longer, as Pod2g explains it all.

In his own words:

The exploit I used to inject the untethering files to the 4S relies on having a developer account, and can’t be released publicly.

It’s the same reason why @MuscleNerd has an iPad 2 tethered jailbreak but couldn’t distribute it.

So, we need to find a distributable exploit to remount the system partition read/write and to set Corona files at the correct places.

So in short, due to the need for a developer account the work involved really can’t be distributed without an exploit.

For more detailed information about pod2g and his efforts check out his iOS blog.

A vinyl record certainly makes us nostalgic and takes us back to those good old days. But these records are nowhere to be found these days except in obscure shops hidden in street plazas, museums and in peoples garages.

But it appears like we can still enjoy those golden memories once again, all thanks to a new product which comes via a partnership between Griffin Technology and Third Man Records. They have unveiled the Third Man 45 iPhone case which protects your iPhone and at the same time allows you to take a trip to the past.

The front of this new unique case is similar to that of the other iPhone cases that are available on the market nowadays. It’s the back that is so unique.

Instead of plain back design, the Third Man 45 iPhone case comes equipped with a real chunk of a 7″ vinyl record that has been custom cut to fit comfortably into the case. It covers and protects the back of your iPhone without blocking the cam too. The case also has obviously has cut-outs so that you can easily access the volume buttons, power button, headphone jack, and so on.

The Third Man 45 case is currently available for the iPhone 4 and 4S with a price tag of $29.99. They have also introduced three additional inserts: The White Stripes on white vinyl, The Raconteurs on black and The Dead Weather on yellow. They are available in a 3-pack for $19.99.
