Acer recently released the Acer C7 and now they are back at it again, this time with the Acer C710-2605 Chromebook.

This affordable laptop features an 11.6 inch display will 1366 x 768 pixels and a Intel Celeron 847 1.1 GHz processor. An impressive 500GB hard drive and 4 GB of RAM, versus the 320 GB hard drive and 2 GB of RAM you get with the C7.

Also included an HDMI, Ethernet, VGA and 3 USB ports. The battery is an upgraded 5000mAh which lasts up to 6 hours compared to a 2500mAh battery supplied with the C7. The main benefit of this new version over the previous C7 version is the bigger battery. The Acer C710-2605 is also a bit more expensive at $300, versus the $200 tag for the Acer C7.

Does this beefier version sound appealing? Is the price difference worth the upgrades? Tell us what you think, is the C710-2605 on your holiday wishlist?

It is pretty common these days for many radios to have an iPod docking station, but AOC is taking the concept to the next level by integrating a dock into their new Aire monitor.

The AOC Aire (aka e2343Fi) features a 23” Full High Definition experience with a resolution of 1920×1080, and will come with a built-in dock that supports both iPhone and iPod, allowing you to have all your multimedia content delivered to the monitor using plug-and-play technology.The monitor will also include SRS Premium sound as well.

For those who love the idea of quick access and integration of all their important media content, or just a way to get iPhone apps up on the big screen, the AOC Aire certainly looks like a tempting choice.

The Aire will debut sometime in March, and will be shown off in at CES 2012 in a few days.

We knew that this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was going to represent the year of the tablet. We knew that just about everyone was jumping on board this newfound goldmine, but we had no idea how big this would become. How big? Well, there were over 100 new tablets revealed at CES 2011.

Most of these are going to fly under the radar, coming from companies like Augen, Enspert, and Rullingnet, but a good number come from more notable names. The marketplace is about to really get flooded with so many iPad alternatives that you won’t know what hit you.

It’s not like they’re all going after the same kind of size as the Apple variant either, as sizes ranged from a pocket-friendly four inches to a notebook-worthy dual 14-incher. Granted, the four-inch Panasonic VIERA tablet was just a prototype, but it’s probably more suited as a smartphone-like device than anything else.

A quick rundown of some highlights include the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G, Sharp Galapagos, BlackBerry PlayBook, Dell Streak 7, Kno dual-screen, and the $800 Motorola XOOM. If nothing else, this proves we’ll have no shortage of choices if we want to veer away from Cupertino.

This list is only partially complete (76 tablets), right now it’s work in progress and we can expect it to keep growing to Shawn Dubravac.

Here’s a few notable tablets we reported on during CES;

This means that all of those valuable documents and incriminating pictures are usually open to scrutiny by anyone who happens to “borrow” your memory drive.

The XiaoClef2 USB sick from Princeton Japan comes with a special feature that will keep your data nice and safe: a biometric fingerprint reader. Instead of having to remember a complicated password, all you have to do is swipe your finger across the little yellow strip. Assuming that no one has the same fingers as you (and you don’t suddenly lose your finger), your data should stay pretty safe.

The Princeton XiaoClef2 USB stick is available in 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB.

Motorola hasn’t officially announced the new phone as of yet, but a handful of spy pics (and these two videos) give us a decent look at the ultra-shiny, super-slim clamshell.

In terms of features, we’re expecting a 2-inch screen, Linux OS, and an integrated camera of unknown resolution. Based on the video, it also has a text-to-speech feature wherein it’ll read out your emails. Anyways, on to Kendra Kitty and her experience with the MOTOLAZR.
