You might want to look again at the photo. That's a laptop you're looking at. The screen folds down, folds up, and folds into flatness for you to carry, just like the laptop you already have.
This standard-bending design is from Elitegroup Computer Systems, which will present four new laptop series at CeBIT that run on either Windows XP or Vista. Each has a one-letter designation: S, L, H, and G.
The bottom-of-the-line model is the S, which has an LCD of 12.1 or 14.1, a Core 2 Duo processor, and a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera. Next up is the L series, which has a larger screen (14.1 to 17 inches) and not much else to offer.
Finally, we get to that screen-bender, the G. ECS calls it a "smart neck," but it's bound to get other people's necks sore craning to see how it does its thing. The screen can be lifted, tilted, or swiveled in a full circle.
The top of the line is the H series, a true UMPC series. The showcase at CeBIT will be the H70, which adds a 7-inch touchscreen (complete with stylus) and a 4-in-1 card reader to an already impressive offering.
Look for it all at CeBIT.
