Toyota Aygo DJ concept with built-in music decks |
|
As the world's second largest automaker, Toyota has quite a few things to be proud about. While the company's best sellers – most notably the Corolla and Camry – may elicit a yawn or two from passers-by at auto shows, the Japanese automaker still has some pizzazz up its sleeve that it wants to showcase at the British Motor Show later this month. From the unconventional to the oversized, Toyota has got a couple of concepts that will have show goers gawking for hours.
Casting aside a conventional roof and doors is the Aygo for Sport, which we first heard about some time back. Designed with beachcombers in mind, this new-age buggy sports wooden floors and space reserved for surfboards.
For the more musically inclined, Toyota has the Aygo DJ concept that has "built-in music decks and powerful speakers" and is designed for the mobile disc jockey to bring the party with him wherever he happens to be.
The Yaris has been received quite well in the marketplace for its compact size, trendy styling, and fuel-sipping habits, but for those of you out for a little more "umph" in your ride, Toyota is tossing the Yaris T Sport into the mix for 2007. This performance minded hatch will rock a 1.8L engine and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The RAV4 is also receiving a power upgrade treatment, as it may soon be available with a 201hp turbodiesel engine. The sporty styling continues with aerodynamic body pieces and blinged-out 21-inch alloy wheels.
