2008 Maserati Mistral Coupe Sketches Come to Surface |

  I love the work of Pininfarina, the highly revered design firm based out of Italy. They have just issued a couple of preview sketches of the 2008 Maserati Mistral coupe, and I can barely contain the drool dripping over my keyboard. We expect the actual vehicle to make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, but in the meantime, these sketches give us a pretty good idea of what the concept car will look like.
On the record, Maserati has not announced the name for this new 2+2 sports coupe, but many industry insiders and "recent reports" are suggesting that they will be reviving the Mistral moniker for this vehicle. The Ferrari V8 engine found under the hood may go from 4.2L of displacement ot 4.5L, but that's just speculation at this point. Transmission will either be a standard manual of "a ZF automatic with paddle shifting."
