Sprint Text to Landline expands who you can text message to |
|
In a constant effort to try to differentiate itself and make a few extra bucks, Sprint Nextel, like all the other providers out there, is always launching new features and services. One of their latest is called Sprint Text to Landline. With it you can send a text message to any phone in the U.S., mobile or landline.
To use the service, you just enter the phone number and your text message as you normally would. If it isn’t a phone that can receive messages, such as a landline, the message is automatically converted to voice which the recipient hears when they pick up the phone. At that point, the recipient can reply with a preset text message response, or can choose to record a response of their own. For customers, it allows them to expand the range of their messaging capabilities if they are messaging addicts. For Sprint, it provides additional revenue potential, because regular texting fees apply. Everybody wins.
