Panasonic Expands Phone Line-Up

Panasonic Mobile today announced their entire line of X series phones, as well as the A500 that were unveiled earlier this year will be available sometime by Q4 2004. The X100, X200, X300, X500 and X700, oddly enough there is no X600 and the A500 will go on sale in the Asia Pacific region first, no plans were announced for bringing them to North America.

X100

The stylish and mini X100 is equipped with a built-in camera and a high quality 65k color TFT screen. The sleek cameraphone comes in at just 18mm in thickness, and thus, could easily fit in the pockets of a man's trousers or a woman’s purse. Plus, it has all the essentials that you would expect from Panasonic, like 32 polyphonic ringtones, calendar function, calculator and a WAP browser. Aavailable in the market starting Q4 2004.

X200

Feature Packed The X200 is equipped with a VGA camera and high quality 65k color TFT screen. Plus, it has all the essentials that you would expect from Panasonic, like 16 polyphonic ringtones, calendar function, calculator and WAP browser. You can download a range of games and other Java applications. Available in the market starting Q4 2004.

X300

Photo Friendly With its one-push, pop-up screen, the X300 makes taking pictures and shooting video clips simple. The built-in VGA camera has a handy self-timer function on this new device. Photos or videos can then be played back on the crystal clear, pop-up 65k colour display.

Communicate in Style By supporting GPRS and MMS, the X300 allows users to send photos and even video clips to a PC or other compatible phone. It may be packed with features, but the X300 is still light and easy to use. It's perfect for style conscious consumers that want the latest technology combined with cutting-edge design. Available from Q3 2004.

X400

User-Friendly Design With the push of a button, the X400 pops open making it quick and easy to capture moments on the VGA camera. There is a twilight mode to help create high quality evening images - which can then be displayed on the crystal clear 65k color TFT screen.

Feature Packed More than just an innovation in slim mobile phone design, the X400 has all the essentials that you would expect from Panasonic, like 16 polyphonic ringtones, calendar function, calculator and WAP browser. You can download a range of games and other Java applications. Available in the market starting Q3 2004.

X500

Snap wonder in Digital camera style The X500 is equipped with a 4x digital zoom VGA camera and a high quality 65k color TFT screen. Plus, this sleek handset has the capability to record and playback motion JPEG file clips, which greatly enhance the entertainment factor and the fun of use of this handset. Needless to say, the handset also has all the essentials that you would expect from Panasonic, like 40 polyphonic ringtones, calendar function, calculator and a WAP browser. Plus, you can also download a range of games and other Java applications. Available in the market starting Q3 2004.

A500

Designed to fit your needs With the push of a button, the A500 pops open making it quick and easy to open and start dialing. With MMS technology, it is possible to quickly see pictures from friends. Many cool covers can be selected in order to personalize the phone. Though there are other phones, which have inter-changeable covers, there is nothing in the market that is 19mm thick. The Panasonic A500 is the perfect handset for the consumer who wants to have an individualized phone, yet thin clamshell phone.
