 When the Motorola RAZR was first revealed to the world, we were all very impressed with its slim profile. Since then, the big M hasn't been quite as awe-inspiring, but that has definitely changed with this latest offering. You may have heard about the Motorola ROKR E8. It looks like a conventional candybar, but what's special is that the keypad automatically morphs to suit the situation.
For example, when it comes time to make a call, the numerical keypad pops up. When you're listening to music, the media controls emerge. When you take a picture, the camera controls rise to the surface. Some people scoffed at the idea, saying that it's nothing more than a glorified touchscreen or a set of touch-sensitive controls, but there is something called "haptics" that provides tactile feedback. It's not just a haptics vibration either; the Boy Genius says that it actually feels like a real button.
Besides this revolutionary design element, the Motorola ROKR E8 also boasts a ROKR scroll wheel, 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, quad-band GSM/EDGE, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a newer version of the MOTOMAGX platform. The unique keyboard and "excellent call quality" make the Motorola ROKR E8 a phone that the Boy Genius "could see ourselves using... every day."
