Nokia N99 concept: everything a smartphone should be?

Click to ZoomThe spec list on the theoretical Nokia N99 concept phone reads like a gadget lover's wet dream. It's got everything that the N800 Internet Tablet boasts and oh, so much more. Like many HTC products, the N99 has got a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to make text entry a walk in the park, and the touchscreen display lets you navigate through the interface with the greatest of ease. But wait, there's more.

The on-board camera outdoes everything that Nokia has ever produced for a cell phone, integrating an 8-megapixel image sensor. It even bests the music-centric Nokia N91 in the storage department, tossing in a full 16GB of flash memory. The joystick button isn't just a five-way navigator either; it's a nine-way! Diagonals on a cell phone!

Done drooling yet? Keep slobbering, 'cause the Nokia N99 has also got a miniSD card slot (supporting up to 4GB), 16:9 3.2-inch widescreen, GPS, media player, WiFi, VGA video at 30fps, and what appears to be Microsoft Word.

Too bad it's just a concept, and probably not an official one at that.
