  Easily one of the most popular MP3 players on the market these days is the iPod nano, and now Altec Lansing wants to cash in with their "impossibly thin" inMotion iM500 portable audio system, developed specifically for Apple's skinny DAP.
They've kept this speaker system as portable as humanly possible, with an "efficient fold-away design, making it a cinch to toss into a small purse or bag for travel." Despite its physically anorexic stature, the iM500 packs MaxxBass technology for the thump you want without the need for a subwoofer.
And when I say this thing is thin, I mean it. Right around the thickness of a DVD case, the Altec Lansing iM500 has a profile of a mere 0.67-inches. They're reporting over seven hours of life out of the six AA batteries, or for longer play, you can plug it into the wall with the provided AC adapter. If you don't have a nano, don't feel left out, because they've also thrown in a standard auxiliary jack.
Complete with a protective carrying pouch, the Altec Lansing inMotion iM500 retails for $130.
