Unicon Systems boldly calls their MBridge the key to a computer free life. With all the WiFi wireless features this multimedia bridge has to offer, it will sure make other manufacturers think twice about their next feature sets.
Unicon's product flyer for the MBridge was sent to us this morning, along with the news that the MBridge will be ready for sale in Q2 of this year, that is not so far off. The system will allow you to access online music stores and load digital content directly onto your PMP without a computer. It has its own MP3 player if you dont want to transfer it, and can use it to load pictures directly from your digital camera to an online printing service or something like Flickr. You can also view and edit the pictures before you upload them, cropping and resizing them to make them look their best.
Communications are key, that is why you can use it to chat and e-mail. Unlike most devices, it can support several different messengers simultaneously.
Wireless data transfer is at the rate of 11 Mbps using 802.11b. 2 USB 2.0 ports are supported for fast transfer between devices. It features a 3.5 TFT screen with a touch panel. An internal SD card expansion port provides you with memory options. It is powered by a lithium ion battery.
The device measures 3 x 5 x 0.75, weighs 6.5 ounces and will come in Grey, Red or Black. No word yet on price.
