Hitachi sporting two new hybrid camcorders |

  Keeping up with all your digital imaging options is rather rough these days. Phones are cameras, and camcorders aren't just camcorders anymore. That is certainly the case with two more new models from Hitachi, which offer hybrid recording options.
Last week, we told you about the DZHS500A. But the CZ-HS301 and the CZ-HS303 set themselves apart from the crowd with their "one-touch dubbing" option, by which you can burn right to DVD out in the wild, without having to race back to your PC to share your newly minted videos with your friends.
Look a little closer, though, and you'll find that old-school invention the hard drive, which is making a stunning comeback in camcorders lately. The internal drive boasts 8GB, which should be more than enough for a month's worth of video memories.
Both models feature a 2.7-inch viewscreen, which is still rather small. They begin to differ in terms of megapixels, and zoom. The HS301 sensor is 1.3 megapixels, and the zooms are 15x optical and 800x digital. The HS303 sports 3.3 megapixels and a 10x optical and 500x digital zoom. Pricing is to match, at US$1449 and US$1649, respectively.
