Fujitsu LifeBook B6210 notebook moonlights as a touchscreen Tablet PC |
|
The line separating conventional notebook computers from tablet PCs just gotten that much more blurry. We've already heard about the tablet PC from Tatung that sports a detachable keyboard, but now a bigger name has jumped into the keyboard-touting touchscreen computer biz. The good people over at Fujitsu have put together the LifeBook B6210 laptop, which sports a touchscreen display and runs on either Tablet PC Edition '05 or XP Professional.
Designed with healthcare and field-force industries in mind, this new lappy from Fujitsu comes with a 12.1-inch XGA display, placing it right alongside non-touchscreen ultraportable notebooks on the market. Being 3.2 pounds doesn't hurt either.
Standard features include a Core Solo 1.2 GHz processor, 512MB of SDRAM, and a smaller than average 40 GB HDD. Other key features include Gigabit Ethernet, all three flavours of WiFi (no N, of course), and the option to spiff it up with a fingerprint reader and/or Bluetooth.
Starting price for the XP version is right at the $1,600 mark, with the Tablet PC'd LifeBook B6210 going for fifty bucks more.
