HP launches 17-inch laptop in Europe |

 HP brings to the European market its new 17-inch Pavilion dv8000 series of notebook PCs. The new laptop is aimed at home users, with special attention on features geared towards entertainment.
The dv800 laptop features AMD’s Turion 64 processor (ML-32). And as the laptop is geared towards 'entertainment', it boasts of a dual hard disk drive storage system (thanks to two EIDE drive bays) offering users up to 240GB in storage. You don't have worry about lack of space for all your favorite images, movies or audio files indeed with the dv8000. Further, for that true 'home entertainment' experience - note that with HP QuickPlay and your trusty remote control, you can watch movies on its 17-inch widescreen display, which features BrightView technology.
The HP dv8000 laptops also feature an ExpressCard slot together with a multi-format memory card reader supporting Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, SD/MMC, SmartMedia and xD Picture Card. If you want to go wireless, that's supported too as it offers Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g and infrared options. And you won't run out of wired connectivity options as well as the HP dv8000 series of laptops come with 10/100 Ethernet, V.92 modem, four USB 2.0 ports and FireWire.
