Acer is announcing another contender in the ultra-fast Ferrari notebook line, the Ferrari 4000. This carbon-fiber combination of superior computing technology and innovative design is the successor to the Ferrari 3200 and 3400 notebooks.
The Ferrari 4000 is based on AMD’s Turion 64 Mobile Technology, this processing unit is specifically designed for thin and lightweight notebooks. The 64-bit architecture prepares you for future 64-bit applications and battery life is extended with HyperTransport technology.
With a 15.4-inch TFT wide display, ATI Mobility Radeon X700 gpu with 128MB DDR, 1 GB DDR memory and 100GB harddrive there really isn’t much this notebook is missing. It also has a DVD-Super multi double-layer drive and a 5-in-1 card reader for your multimedia needs.
Wireless connectivity is supported via IEEE 802.11b/g, integrated Bluetooth or gigabit Ethernet if you decide to settle down.
More specifications and details are available from Acer’s web site, the Ferrari 4000 notebook will start selling at $1999 in North America.
