AMD Going Atomic in November with Bobcat |

 With the rising popularity of small form factor notebook PCs like the Asus Eee PC and MSI Wind, there is also a growing interest in the Intel Atom processor that powers these little computers. It's supposed to be smaller and more efficient than its predecessors, but where is AMD is the mess of things? Don't AMD and Intel usually have counterparts on just about every segment of the market?
As it turns out, all the AMD fans in the audience don't have to worry one bit, because an AMD competitor to the Intel Atom is being planned for released this November. The expect specs and features of this new chip have not yet been mentioned by new AMD head honcho Dirk Meyer, but there are rumors that Bobcat is the name of the new processor.
Meyer has confirmed its development and existence. Now we just have to wait to see it in action.
