Royal Bank Gives Away Asus Eee PC to New Accounts |

 I remember a couple years ago, TD Canada Trust was holding a promotion wherein if you opened a new checking or savings account with them, assuming it met their minimum requirements and restrictions, they would reward you with a free iPod shuffle. If you signed up for a beefier account of some kind, they would step it up to an iPod Video or something.
It seems that Royal Bank is cashing in on our love for hot new electronics too, because they are offering Canadians the opportunity to score a free Asus Eee PC. That's much better than a stupid t-shirt or fountain pen and it's way better than an iPod shuffle too. You just need to open an RBC Signature No Limit Banking account and you'll be subnotebook-ing your way to greatness.
But there's a catch. Actually, there are a couple of catches. First, you get the cheapest of the cheap 2G Surf Eee PC. Second, you have to sign up for either the $14/month or $30/month bank account. Sorry, RBC, I like my free banking account much better thanks.
