Lenovo Launches Three Additions to IdeaPad Line of Laptops |

  When you think of Lenovo, the moniker that usually comes to mind is ThinkPad. Well, Lenovo has the IdeaPad line as well and they're expanding that series by no fewer than three new notebooks. The IdeaPad line, as far as we can tell, is designed to be stylish and it will largely compete against the MacBook series from the good people at Apple.
There are three notebooks in the IdeaPad line, each of which take on a different size and have a slightly different spec sheet. The smallest of the three is the IdeaPad U1110. You may have seen some leaked photos of this one before with its 11-inch LED-backlit screen. Like the Macbook Air, the Lenovo IdeaPad U110 lacks an optical drive. Rounding out the specs are a 1.6GHz Intel L7500 processor, 2GB RAM, and 120GB hard drive.
The other two laptops are certainly larger than the U110 and, thus, they have a different model-naming scheme as well. The IdeaPad Y510 has a 15-inch screen, whereas the IdeaPad Y710 has a 17-inch display. They come with an optional Blu-ray upgrade, up to 4GB of RAM, and up to a 250GB hard drive. Prices range considerably with these two units, starting at about $700 and topping out at $3000.
