HTC seems tired of hiding in the shadows, only producing top-notch WinMo smartphones under other companies' branding. They want to be a widely known and respected namesake in their own right, and I have every confidence they will succeed in that endeavour. Case in point, check out this video of the HTC Artemis in action, the latest Windows Mobile-powered handset from the Taiwanese company, complete with a mouse-like trackball and a click wheel-like scroller.
As a refresher, the HTC Artemis comes packed with all the features you know and love. In addition to built-in GPS functionality, this smartphone throws down a 2-megapixel camera, WiFi connectivity, microSD expansion, Bluetooth, and FM radio, though --unfortunately -- there's no QWERTY keyboard to be found.
The video below ends a little abruptly, but shows you that the trackball-like mouse is quite effective and the spinning scroll wheel makes menu selections easy. Not too shabby, HTC, not too shabby at all.
