Philips unveils wireless Skype phone |

  Have you noticed how quickly Skype phones have gone from cute novelty to powerful tools? Philips has added another impressive looking Skype phone to the available choices. Their new VoIP841 is a cordless phone to give you some freedom to move.
Once you plug your broadband connection into the base of the phone, you can wander around and enjoy good sound thanks to the DECT protocol connection. This won't be the scratchy, unreliable VoIP connection that you might be used to. This phone is an evolution from the older Philips VoIP321. The new and improved model has sleeker lines and a fancier look, and a color screen makes looking at it all the more enjoyable to use.
Philips is expected to make this phone available in time for the holiday season. No word yet on what it will cost when it does hit the shelves, but you can imagine that it won't be cheap.
