 D-Link, has recently announced the launch of two new wireless solutions designed specifically for outside use, the AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Access Point and the AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Bridge/Router. Now businesses can create a large outdoor wireless hotspot for customers and employees or connect networks between satellite buildings without paying additional weather-proofing costs, D-Link's AirPremier Outdoor Wireless products offer exceptional range and high-speed connectivity within a sturdy protective enclosure. The D-Link DWL-1700 Wireless Access Point and the D-Link DWL-1750 Wireless Bridge/Router feature a die-cast watertight housing with built-in lightning protection, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) functionality, extended range, advanced firewall features and compatibly with existing 802.11b compliant devices.
The D-Link AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Access Point and the AirPremier Outdoor 2.4 GHz Wireless Bridge/Router provide businesses with the ability to create an external wireless network/hotspot or connect two networks across town wirelessly in a rugged, watertight protective casing that includes built-in lightning protection, keeping sensitive electronic components safely away for the elements or power surges.

D-Link DWL-1700 AirPremier Outdoor 2.4 GHz Wireless Access Point
With a range of up to 600 meters, the D-Link AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Access Point provides wireless connectivity to existing networks or the Internet speeds of up 11Mbps, be it an outdoor extension of an existing network or the creation of a public hotspot. The access point features a robust set of firewall features, including MAC filtering, Denial of Service (DOS) protection, preventing intruders from disrupting your network and includes a built-in NAT inbound virtual server, allowing users to have direct IP based access control. Further simplifying the installation process, the D-Link AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Access Point includes Power-over-Ethernet technology, allowing the unit be powered and connect to a wired network on the same cable. The access point supports up to 128-bit WEP encryption and the IEEE 802.1x security for wireless authentication, and when paired with a RADIUS server, acts as an Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) Authenticator to provide centralized, server-based mutual authentication, allowing remote access and network control that businesses want.

The D-Link AirPremier Outdoor 2.4 Wireless Bridge/Router provides businesses with the ability to connect two remote networks together wirelessly with file transfer speeds of up to 11Mbps in a simple, flexible and affordable package. And when paired with a D-Link High-Gain Directional Antenna, the D-Link AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Bridge/Router can connect two network from up to 25 miles away. The wireless bridge/router keeps the network free of intruders by supporting 128-bit WEP encryption and features a robust set of firewall features, including MAC filtering to keep unwanted devices off the network and Denial of Service (DoS) protection, preventing intruders from disrupting your network and includes a built-in NAT inbound virtual server, allowing users to have direct IP based access control. Further simplifying the installation process, the D-Link AirPremier Outdoor Wireless Bridge/Router includes Power-over-Ethernet technology, allowing the unit be powered and connect to a wired network on the same cable.
