Energi To Go Instant device charger from Energizer |

Casting the extra bit of frustration and hassle aside, it usually isn't a big deal if you need to recharge your cell phone each night after a long day of music listening, video watching, and text messaging. But if you are going to be away from a wall outlet for an extended length of time, it can be difficult to find a way to give your mobile phone the extra boost it needs. Whether at an airport waiting for a connector or on an extended road trip with no end in sight, you can now give your portable electronics a big boost in energy thanks to the Energi To Go Instant Charger from our friends at Energizer.
As you can probably guess, this device allows you to convert the power found on standard AA batteries – preferably of the Energizer e2 Lithium variety if the battery maker has anything to do with it – into a usable form for your cell phone, iPod, Nintendo DS Lite, or most other portable electronics. The Cell Phone Charger takes a pair of AA batteries, whereas the one designed for "audio and gaming devices" demands a quad of AA dry cells.
Connectors are available for "80 percent of the cell phone brands available in the United States", as well as standard mini USB devices, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and a selection of iPods.
Retailers will sell the four-battery power packs for $29.99 each, the two-battery power packs for cell phones for $19.99 and will include the reusable charger, a smart tip and Energizer e2 Lithium AA batteries. Look for them in stores this September.
