Finger Mouse Can Save Your Wrist

Click to ZoomThose of you who aren't fond of the computer mouse can give it the finger—literally.

The Ring Mouse, from Global Link, is a mouse substitute that slips on your finger and approximates the functionality of the mouse by using a tiny trackball on the underside of the small device. Given that it's the actual hand movements and not the position of the mouse that cause problems, many wrist injury sufferers might be trading one kind of pain for another. The good news with this device is that theoretically, you have five fingers and only one wrist (assuming that you aren't ambidextrous, in which case you have 10 fingers and two wrists at your disposal).

The Ring Mouse is being shown Computex in Taipei. Pricing and availability have yet to be announced.
