The much anticipated Nokia Lumia 920 has now hit store shelves. The flagship Windows Phone 8 device is getting a nice spotlight over at Best Buy, with it showing at the top of its mobile phone page. Walmart is also showing the Lumia 920 on the front of their mobile site. So how well is the Lumia 920 doing so far? From the looks of it, the new Windows Phone 8 device has yet to truly take off.
Angry Birds is no doubt the most popular game on smartphone markets today, and as the franchise has progressed, some games and remakes have made the series feel a little stale. However, Angry Birds Star Wars has produced a refreshing breath of air onto the Angry Birds line of games and playing it feels like playing Angry Birds for the first time all over again.
The customer has taken a picture of the 32GB model resting on a shelf with a $499 price tag underneath the item. Apparently, the person who took the picture did not buy it, but instead took a photo and left the store. So far there have been no other reports about possible early releases like this one, so there’s probably quite a small quantity of Nexus 10 tablets in public reach at this point.
A lot has changed on the mobile market since the first Contract Killer was released, and with top notch games like Dead Trigger being available for free download, does the same style gameplay from Contract Killer 1 & 2 have a place on the market? Even with the very restrictive on-rails gameplay, Glu has done a lot of things right to make sure Contract Killer 2 plays more realistically whilst still being able to play on relatively outdated hardware.
UAV’s are one of those areas of technology that really opens a lot of doors for creativity, and for designers and manufacturers, there’s no better inspiration than the natural world around us. A team from Georgia Tech has been hard at work on mimicking the natural flying capabilities of a dragonfly, and with their new palm-sized TechJet Dragonfly, their work may have paid off.
When using the app between two or more devices, the user can ‘pinch together’ two screens by using their thumb and index fingers both on a separate device, and pinching them together, like you would when zooming in on a web page on a normal touch screen. The screens can be lined up at any angle, whether that is vertically or horizontally, and the pictures will match themselves up automatically if they become misaligned when attached.
Rather than using a backlit display like most traditional LCDs, the new reflective LCD display panels by Japan Display Inc. use an external light source to show clear images to the viewer, but what makes it special is its ability to play full HD color video.
There’s only one thing more worrying than a robot wielding a knife, and that is a robot wielding a knife that it knows how to use it. However in this instance, CIROS, a unit suitably fit for the kitchen, robot knife skills may be more helpful than we may have thought before.
The iPhone has been the center piece for many Chinese knockoffs over the past few years, but as the Chinese smartphone market has evolved, most of the poor-build products have been left behind. These days we are instead greeted with cheap but durable, reasonably spec'd devices.
When it comes to premium handsets, it may be all about iPhones and Androids these days, but every now and then there’s a product that pops up with a ridiculous price-tag usually made of a precious material like gold or diamond, but here, Gresso have manufactured a phone made of titanium. The phone runs on Symbian S40 and has a simple bar shape that we would have seen on mobiles maybe 5 to 10 years ago, and the innards are of a similar standard. The Gresso has a measly 30MB internal storage and an expandable micro SD slot for an extra 2GB, an FM radio, Bluetooth capability, media playback and a 2 Megapixel camera,

There’s only a certain amount of times an arcade game can be reproduced, reinvented or emulated by others before the game concept becomes old and boring, but Magma Mobile have managed to squeeze in a title that gamers are still happy to play, and with over 500,000 downloads from Google Play since it’s relatively recent launch, Flying Squirrel has managed to gain a large appeal.
If you’ve played any of Madden’s games before, you’ll quickly notice the similarities between the console games and NFL Pro, and I was surprised at how similar the game felt to the first Madden game I had played in 2005. The great thing that Madden captured was the simple pick-up-and play gameplay that managed to incorporate useful tools to create your own strategies whilst keeping all the action focused on the player, and Gameloft have managed to emulate this impressively well.
Casual Puzzle games are a great way to relax, and being able to play appealing games straight from our phone adds plenty more opportunities to play relaxing content in a comfortable chair or sofa, Wired is a testament to chilling out while playing a puzzle arcade game.
I’ve always turnt away from most touch screen racers. The onscreen controls are often inaccurate, and the accelerometer controls would have to be implemented extremely well before they’d be considered a decent method of control. However, when I first played Asphalt 6 by Gameloft, my perspective changed, and I played the game from head to toe. Will Gameloft’s new free racing game GT Racing: Hyundai Edition be just as good?
Judge Dredd vs. Zombies is a top-down shooter developed by Rebellion games, a well-known PC and console developer. It’s no doubt that the game has been released to help promote the new Dredd movie, but with that said, the gameplay is completely apart from the story within the movie, but the game can be enjoyed without any regards to the Judge Dredd story or universe.
Researchers at Harvard are working hard to advance one step closer towards finishing a development project involving a micro air vehicle named the Robobee. The robot, that is smaller than a coin, was already able to lift off using it’s own power source, but now it has added functionalities to help control it’s flight.

The robot, which is mainly white in color, starts off looking like an average inanimate speaker until it catches you off guard and begins transforming into a fully-fledged humanoid. The Michael Jackson wannabe then starts grooving its body parts to the music as it plays sound through its rumbling stomach.
1Gbps; that is the data transfer speed Researchers at Fraunhofer say they are capable of achieving by using a new infrared wireless communication module. It sounds a bit far-fetched, especially when infrared was mainly regarded as an ineffective data transfer method back when Bluetooth and wireless came into play. But Fraunhofer researchers believe they can transfer data 46 times faster than Wifi and an outstanding 1,430 times faster than Bluetooth.

The trade space for SSD’s is becoming a tight competition, and we’re seeing price drops and sales all over the place as a result. Hopefully in the next few years we’ll see prices for Solid state drives going for around the same price as hard disc drives are selling for today. But for now, this is one of the best deals you’re going to find on the net.
A group of Swiss researchers have created a new video putting their high-tech quadrocopter’s flying efficiency to the test. The three flying robots fly back and forth in recognition with each other, whilst each being attached to a three sided net. The intuitive copters can catch incoming balls by flying in formation to move the net accordingly. Once the ball is in the net, they are then also able to launch it upwards by quickly stretching out the net.

Looks like us Android gamers have got our hands on another 3D zombie game! Drive with Zombies reminds me slightly of Mutant Roadkill, the layout and gameplay are easily comparable, but Drive with Zombies gives us an experience unique to its own gameplay as well.
Exorcist 3D Fantasy Shooter for Android is designed to be an action-heavy combat game, focusing on different waves of enemies. The concept of the gameplay is similar to Dungeon Hunter 3, and follows a freemium ‘free-to-play’ model.
If there’s one 3D game genre that we’ve not been short on since the touch generation, it would have to be dungeon crawling games. Over the last year or two we’ve seen games such as Dungeon Hunter, Hero’s Call THD and Soulcraft, to name a few, all of which have sparked a tightly stitched niche for developers and gamers, but do we really need another one on the market?
