The 4G AWS is the first product up for release and it boosts signals on the Advanced Wireless Service (AWS) spectrum band. It’s intended for indoor installations, whether for home or office, and it will strengthen the connection range and also increase transfer speeds in places that are subject to a weaker signal.

Skype update allows video-calling over iPhone 3G

Up until yesterday the mobile Skype application had been limited with features and did not included video-calling like its desktop counterpart did. Skype released the latest update for the iPhone and iPod touch, among the improvements is the addition of video-calling for the iPhone 4, it allows a user to make video calls on either WiFi and or 3G network connections. Its ability to make video-calls over 3G is a surprise because Facetime from Apple is still restricted to making video-calls over WiFi.

Our computers in their simplest form are just a series of tiny electronic circuits containing transistors that switch on and off in certain patterns to execute the functions that we need. At their conception computers were created using only one core processor; this is what reads and performs instructions. Now a computer that has at least two processors is commonplace, and with higher end systems having up to 16 cores.
