Apple iPad becomes expensive fridge magnet with FridgePad

FridgePad iPad fridge magnet holder

On my fridge I have a magnetic bottle opener shaped like a pint of beer and a magnetic dead Kenny from South Park. Those are pretty cool, I suppose, but they pale in comparison to having an Apple iPad as an extra large fridge magnet. And that’s exactly what you can have with the FridgePad.

Apple Magic Trackpad for the desktop is real

magictrackpadg07272010

Apple’s Magic Trackpad seems to be a real product. It’s about as simple as ripping one out of a MacBook or MacBook Pro, giving it a battery holder, some Bluetooth love, and now it’s magically for the desktop. I would probably go for this in a heartbeat, as I’m pretty fed up with swapping batteries on the wireless “Magic Mouse” that magically drains a brand new set of AAs in 3-4 weeks, or AA NiMHs in 2-3 weeks.

Samsung rejects Apple’s claims on the Omnia 2 antenna

Apple's test showing the Samsung Omnia II

Samsung today joined forces with RIM, Nokia and HTC by releasing their own statement towards Apple’s distraction of drawing the competition into their Antennagate problem. Apple’s tests showed the Samsung Omnia II being susceptible to signal loss via the “grip of death.” Samsung took their time in responding, perhaps because Apple uses a good number of memory chips from the company. So Samsung needed to be respectable and remain true to their manufacturing methods, but doing so without losing whiney customer.

iphone4-signal

“You’re holding it wrong” doesn’t really qualify as a suitable fix for the reception issues on the new iPhone 4, so Apple has finally come forth to admit it’s a real problem.
