New Poll Says 22% of Respondents will get a Windows Phone 8 device, tied with iPhone interest

Windows Phone 8 might have just hit the market today, but it is already generating quite a bit of excitement. In fact, a new poll conducted by the UK-based PC Advisor indicates that out of 3,250 respondents, 22 percent were interested in Windows Phone 8– the same percent of users that were interested in the iPhone.

Windows Phone 8′s NFC Features Will Allow Limited Cross-Platform Communication with Android

Starting with Windows Phone 8 devices, NFC will now come into play on Microsoft’s newest mobile platform. While this isn’t that surprising, it is interesting to know that the tap+send features in Windows Phone 8 will actually work just fine between WP8 devices and Android phones.

Verizon Wireless Rumored To Carry Windows Phone 8 Devices

Microsoft Clarifies That They Have No Current Intentions Of Making Their Own Windows Phone Hardware

Windows Phone 8 Dual-Core Smartphone For Sprint Being Tested?

While HTC has plans to release their newly unveiled S4 powered One S (T-Mobile) and One X (AT&T version) within the next two months, Microsoft is reportedly busy testing a Windows Phone 8 smartphone, which is intended for Sprint’s network, with the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset. The new info comes to us courtesy of the folks over at The Verge who were apparently tipped off by “sources familiar with the company’s plans”.
