T-Mobile is already proudly advertising its 4G network and Sprint’s been doing the WiMAX thing for a little while already. Now, Verizon is joining the party with its new LTE network and, according to the commercial, it’s “coming December 2010.”

We have seen the Sprint 4G ads for a while now, this week we started seeing T-Mobile in the mix, announcing their 4G network. Now Verizon says it will be launching its 4G LTE Network by the end of this year. Following suit with its 4G predecessors though, it will not be available to everyone in the country.

Verizon creating largest 4G LTE network, iPhone on the horizon?

With the “there’s a map for that” ad campaign, Verizon is proudly proclaiming that its 3G network offers much more coverage than AT&T’s 3G network. The trouble with this comparison is that AT&T’s network is typically faster than the Verizon equivalent. That might change very soon.

It won’t happen with the battle between Verizon’s EVDO and AT&T’s HSDPA, however. Instead, the battle is being taken to the fourth generation. Verizon aims to have both the largest and the fastest network in the nation when it launches its LTE network. That’s 4G, folks.

First, HTC has indeed confirmed that it has an LTE smartphone in the works, but it seems that this device will be slightly delayed in its launch. Whereas other competitors like Panasonic have released their 32GB and 64GB SDXC cards, Kingston is staying in the game with their 64GB SDXC UHS-1 Class 10 card. Just like SDHC before it, SDXC is not backwards compatible.

One of the newest devices to hit the shelves is the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot by Sierra Wireless. Made available through Sprint, this credit card-sized device takes 3G and 4G connections and converts them into a usable Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five Wi-Fi supported gadgets.

Just before the summer of every year, the Messiah Jobs comes down from his mountain to bestow upon the land his latest gift to mankind. The groundswell of anticipation from the people below reaches deafening heights as June approaches.

With all the anxious anticipation comes the plethora of educated predictions and “reliable sources” that foretell of the miracles that the latest and greatest will contain. The list seems ever-long, yet consistent. Rumors of a forward facing camera, HD video, higher resolution display, and multi-tasking are always at the top, accompanied with some believable-yet-bogus photoshopped image.

Managing your email’s on your iPhone will are going to get easier with the promise of a universal email inbox on the next Apple iPhone. Current iPhones separate emails into separate boxes based on different email addresses, soon they will be neatly converged into one neat box, according to an email received from blogger Julio Manuel. Julio fired off an email to Steve Jobs complimenting their customer service and asking if there would be a universal email inbox on future iPhones, Jobs simply replied “Yep” from his iPad (big surprise in the device he used to respond).

There has been a lot of talk over the last year or so about the iPhone 4G (fourth generation) and its impending arrival. While the iPhone 4G stands for an increase in operating system and technological features of the device itself, it may also stand for the fourth generation of communications technology on the iPhone. Beceem, a company known for making components that make wireless communications possible, has managed to create a new chip that is indeed a 4G chip.

According to MacVideo, the new chip called the BCS5000 is said to have speeds and reliability up to the standards of the 4G.
