If you didn’t know yet, there’s a giant ball pit in London for adults that just had a major makeover. It’s now filled with more than 250,000 balls that all glow in the dark. The venue’s true name is actually Ballie Ballerson, but is now taking on new moniker, “Glowy McGlow.” The balls are all see-through, and are lit by 10,000 LED lights beneath the floor. A ball cleaning machine works all the time to keep the place hygienic. The machine is capable of cleaning up to 18,000 balls per hour. Ballie Ballerson is actually a cocktail bar, and the perfect place to sit and relax and have a few drinks after all that jumping around and mucking with the balls. A two-hour session ticket in the pit only costs £10. Yes, that’s ten quid, but if you just want to stay in the bar, it’s free, but just pay for the drinks you order.
When Ballie Ballerson first opened in November 4 of last year in Dalston, it became quite a hit with Londoners who enjoyed the spongy and soft balls while also being served good food and good drinks at the bar area. The ball pit is actually on the first floor with the restaurant and bar on the second level. The food served is mostly ball-themed, so think more on pancake balls, cheese balls, and beef meatballs. The pit is chest-deep with balls where you can “swim,” dance, play, or jump around to your heart’s content.

In reality, this isn’t the first time that a ball pit has opened, but Ballie Ballerson is the first one with a bar and restaurant in partnership and a ball cleaning machine that disinfects and keeps the balls clean and not covered in germs. And the pit isn’t the only thing that’s sort of bottomless. For just £35, you can enjoy one hour of bottomless prosecco and punch, followed by one hour of bottomless spaghetti and meatballs, and then followed by one final hour of more unlimited drinks. That’s three hours of great food and drinks at a bargain. So you’ll leave the premises tired from all that exercising, satisfied with all that food, and full of joy from all that alcohol.
The pit and bar are located on 79 Stoke Newington Road in Dalston. It’s open 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The bottomless brunch option needs to be booked in advance, either online or called in. You need to choose between 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. for the bottomless brunch. For those not really into balls, the pit also offers some foam toys and inflatable rings to play with. On certain days the organizers have competitive games with fun prizes at stake.
