If your New Year’s resolution or focus for 2017 is to travel more, then your wish might be about to come true, for free, that is. So, instead of a $69 ticket to England, why not go for free tickets to farther destinations like the Seychelles, Cape Town, or Dubai? Yes, that’s right, it’s free and no typos.  Qatar Airways is currently in the midst of its “Travel Festival“ in which they are offering super cheap tickets, as well as a “Treasure Hunt” for a few rare tickets that are completely and totally free. Qatar Airways are now offering really cheap flights like New York to Yangon, Myanmar from $485 and Dallas to Bangkok from $480. The free tickets will go live starting at 9:00 a.m. EST on the morning of Thursday, January 12. And while people may become super busy in attempting to find the tickets, Qatar Airways has given us some hints of where to look.

First, choose one of the airline’s many American departure locations, so that would be New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. Montreal may also be selected because technically it is still part of the North American continent. After this, take a look at qualifying destinations and time frames: Dubai in February, March, and April 2017; Ras al-Khaimah in February and March 2017; Yereven in February and April 2017; Tbilisi in February 2017; The Seychelles in February and April 2017; and Cape Town in March 2017. With any luck, you might eventually find your perfect match and a one-way ticket to the free ticket deals.

One thing to note, however, is that this price tag does not include taxes and fees. You will still have to pay a little bit of money from the trip. However, the Australian winners who already participated in the deal paid fees and taxes like $40 one-way and $150 round-trip. Now that’s not shabby at all. So whether you decide to wake up early to do your treasure hunt or do it late through the night, something tells us that with these very low costs, the searching will all be worth it. Watch the official video for hints on what destinations and travel periods will have free tickets, then visit the Qatar Airways website between 9 and 10 a.m. Eastern Time and search for your preferred dates from any of Qatar’s U.S. cities to the Treasure Hunt’s featured destinations. If your search turns up a ticket priced at $0.00, click through quickly to book it, but be ready to pay the taxes and fees.
