As good as 2015 was to the phone lovers, 2016 is going to be even better. With a few smartphones already released, iPhone 5SE releasing this month, and plenty more coming in the following months, we can easily say that this year is going to be an extravaganza of smartphones. With each passing day, handsets are getting smarter, more powerful, and more stylish, and if are planning to buy a new phone this year, my friend, you’re going to have to make a tough choice. But don’t panic! I’m here to help you choose the best among the latest upcoming smartphones in 2016, according to your need.
Let’s start with the most obvious and eagerly awaited Apple’s flagship phone for 2016 – iPhone 7. As it happens every year, Apple is expected to tick the number up to 7 after the ’S’ update of its 2014 flagship phones. Though Apple isn’t leaking much about it’s upcoming iPhone, it is rumoured to be of higher screen resolution, waterproof, and would be featuring a lightning port instead of the headphone socket. For more hints, wait for the release of iOS 10 at WWDC, this summer.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
After tasting success with it’s innovative ‘Edge’ models in 2015, Samsung is all set to raise the bar even higher this year. Samsung is looking to capitalise on that momentum of success with the slightly improved S7 and S7 Edge models. The new handsets would feature waterproofing and expandable storage – both of the features were missed by customers in the previous generation.
While the design has not changed much, internal specs have received some usual upgrades, with a large battery and improved camera.
HTC is all set to release it’s new Android running flagship – HTC 10, in the first-third of this year. This new handset from HTC will succeed it’s One M9 and will feature a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. Rumours about upgraded screen resolution are also there. Since the camera of One M9 was a disappointment to the customers, HTC will hopefully focus on improving on its camera for HTC 10. There’s not much rumour about the phone on the market. It looks like we’d have to wait for its release to know more.
