The Xiaomi Mi 3 smartphone has been launched in India and will be available on sale starting July 15. The device comes with a price tag of just Rs. 14,999 ($250).
You might feel that you won’t get impressive specs at this price range. Most smartphones in this range come with MediaTek SoCs or Snapdragon 200. But you will love what the Xiaomi Mi 3 is offering. Check out the specs of the handset below.
- Snapdragon 800 with a quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU
- 5-inch full-HD display
- 2 GB RAM
- 16 GB of storage (but no card slot)
- 13 MP camera with dual-LED flash
- 2 MP front cam
- HSPA+ (42 Mbps)
- Wi-Fi ac
- Bluetooth 4.0
- GPS + GLONASS
- 3,050 mAh battery
The Xiaomi Mi 3 features MIUI 5 atop Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but there will surely be an update to Android 4.4 KitKat.
It is not known whether Xiaomi plans to sell the handset directly or via an e-commerce store. We have heard before that the company is going to have a deal with Flipkart. But make sure to act quickly if you have plans to get the device, as stocks could be limited at launch.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is also launching its Mi powerbank (5,200 mAh and 10,400 mAh variants) in India.
