If you’re in the market for a giant phablet, there’ll be an extra treat under the way-too-early Christmas tree for you this Friday. Sprint has confirmed that the HTC One Max will be officially joining its lineup this Friday, November 15. It’s already popped up on the Best Buy website (as shown) and this has been confirmed by Sprint.
Aside from the display size, the HTC One Max isn’t all that different from its vanilla HTC One cousin. You do get a 5.9-inch display and a rear fingerprint reader though. Beyond that, you’ll find a Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 4MP Ultrapixel camera, and front facing speakers. It’s nice that they’ve added a microSD expansion slot too. You should expect all day battery life with the 3300mAh battery in tow.
The HTC One Max is set to launch with Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5, but HTC has indicated that it is already working on porting Android 4.4 KitKat over too. You’ll also notice the $249.99 price point on a two-year contract here, but they have not yet confirmed whether it’s the 16GB or 32GB version. We’ll find out on Friday, I guess.
