The newest version of Android Jelly Bean isn’t supposed to be available for the Samsung Galaxy S4 yet, but a near final build has leaked onto the Internet for your downloading and installing pleasure. If you’re rocking an SGS4 and don’t want to wait for your carrier of choice to push out the official update, you can get Android 4.3 today.
The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean download has been made available at Sammobile.com. This build is designed to run on the Galaxy S4 and should come with all the cool features that the new Jelly Bean will bring. Of course, because it is a leak and it isn’t in any way official, you are warned to proceed at your own risk and precaution. It may or may not be safe, and it may or may not cause any problems when you install it.
If you do choose to grab this download, you are highly advised to do a full backup of your Galaxy S4 ahead of time in case anything goes awry, but that’s true for any firmware or software update in general. If you are a little more patient, the official rollout should start happening in the next couple of weeks or so. For the record, users are saying that the HTC One has started receiving the 4.3 update from AT&T already too.
And to be fair, Android 4.3 isn’t exactly a huge update; some of you may want to sit tight for some official Android 4.4 KitKat action instead.
