Apple Store Giving Away a Free App Every Week, Starting with ‘Color Zen’

apple-wallpaper-logo

We all like free stuff right? Of course we do! That’s why we are happy to report that starting immediately, Apple will now offer a new free download every week through the Apple Store app (not to be confused with the AppStore).

Sometimes the content will be an app, other items it will be a song, video or e-book. This week’s offer is for “Color Zen”, which normally sets you back $.99.

So how to you grab the free offer? Between now and apparently August 27th, you simply load up the Apple store app, select the offer and it then pushes you over to the AppStore where a redeem code will already be entered. You then tap on it to redeem it, and the price changes to free.

Why is Apple doing it this way? Not for sure, other than it gets people using their Store’s official app I suppose. Motives aside, this is certainly a welcome promotion.
