Canon Introducing Vixia Mini Camcorder, Just $300

It’s a Wi-Fi enabled camcorder called Vixia Mini from Canon and it has been designed to help you record a video of yourself doing anything, without the requirement of someone to hold the recorder.

Weighing in at 5.6 ounces and slim enough to stay in your pocket, the Vixia Mini comes equipped with built-in legs and a 2.7-inch touchscreen which can be popped out before you start recording your cooking lesson or your handstand at the beach. The display tilts 170 degrees so you can keep an eye on your performance while being recorded.

A smartphone app can be used to control the Vixia Mini remotely via Wi-Fi and the camcorder will also allow you to send the 1920 x 1080 mp4 videos (or 12.8 megapixel stills) you have captured to Wi-Fi devices.

So, are you interested in the camcorder? Sure, you have your smartphone to do your recording but it won’t be as easy as doing it with the Vixia Mini, unless you have someone with you all the time. The Vixia Mini will be available next month with a price tag of $300.
