We knew it was coming, but the HTC One Mini has finally landed. Now that the dust is settling, let’s take a look at what HTC’s ‘mini’ handset has to offer.
First off, the device will be powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB DDR3 RAM. In the storage department, we have just 16GB with no microSD support.
The One Mini packs a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 with 1280 x 720 resolution. The phone itself weighs in at 122g and has a size of 132 x 63.2 x 9.25mm. The One Mini will also feature an “UltraPixel” camera at 4MP, with HTC Zoe support, alongside a 1.6MP front-facing camera.
Some of the other goodies include Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, BoomSound, an 1,800 mAh battery and the power of Android 4.2.2 running on Sense 5.
Certainly not a pushover, though it is considerably weaker than its not-too-much-bigger brother, the HTC One.
So when’s it coming?
According to HTC, the phone will arrive in “select markets” sometime in August, with a global rollout to follow in September. Unfortunately, we can’t say which markets are included in the August rollout, though parts of Europe (such as the UK) and the United States certainly seem likely targets.
Wondering if it’ll cost you an arm and a leg? You’ll have to wonder a bit longer, as pricing details have yet to be announced at this point.
So what do you think of the HTC One Mini, interested or couldn’t care less?
