Asus Transformer AiO is both a Windows 8 All-in-One and Android Tablet

[CES 2013] What happens when Windows 8 and Android have a baby? Apparently we get the Asus Transformer AiO.

The Transformer AiO is one unique all-in-one that runs on Windows. The actual dock holds all the Intel x86 components. So what happens when you remove it from the dock? You get an 18.4-inch tablet that can ‘stream’ your Windows 8 PC experience onto the tablet as you move around the house.

Alright, but that’s limiting. Want to take the 18.4-inch tablet outside the home? Sure, you can do that too– though you’ll be using Android instead. Interestingly enough, the actual tablet has a Tegra 3 processor and Jelly Bean onboard.

This means that you can easily switch between Windows 8 and Android while in your home, and have a massive Android tablet when on the road.

Let’s be honest, this isn’t for everyone. It’s a niche device, but it is also pretty cool as well. So how much will it set you back? The i3 version will start at $1,299 and it will go up from there, depending on if you get an i5 or i7.
There is currently on official word on when this thing is coming to stores, however. What do you think, interesting or not?
