I bet even if Samsung release it first, Apple will somehow get the patent rights for it and sue Samsung for their own invention.

That depends on the rest of the technology in the phone. If the motherboard and other components are not flexible, then the benefit of a flexible screen is minimized, and unbreakable would be a better idea. If they can construct around it so that you have a phone/tablet than can be folded up, or rolled up to be compact when not in use, then flexible would be fantastic... as long as it doesn't have a short functional life.... if a flexible device will only last 6 months of hard use, then it's benefit is limited as well.

The transparent screen is a reality, just go to YT and search Samsung transparent OLED display and in the video you will see a show case type deal with products inside the casing and the display "replacing" glass

Apple granted a patent for and suing for a rectangular screen and buttons at the bottom on a cellphone would be like Ford suing every other car manufacturer for having 4 wheels and an engine which is a joke. These flexible screens are true innovation.

I hope they patent that after they finish the flexible/invincible LCD. They should let every other companies make it to move forward with innovation around the world, well, except for Apple. What comes around goes around.
