The set-top box is enough: it provides revenue to the app store and iTunes and for the consumer has hdmi connectivity to any display. TV hardware is a domain with razor-thin profit margin with big mean companies dominating it. Why fight that battle? And anyway, there is already too much choice for big displays with diminishingly small borders. What could Apple _really_ offer that the combination of + doesn't already cover?
