With the 3rd generation iPad only coming out about seven months ago and already being phased out in favor of a faster Lightning based 4th generation model, there was some concern about how Apple fans and general consumers would react to the move. Would the iPad 4th gen have slower sales than in the past due to backlash for the quick turn around? The answer seems to be a resounding “No”.
It seems that the intial preorder batches have all been claimed for the new iPad. This means that those who preordered in time will get their device Friday. For the rest of us, you’ll have to wait about a week according to Apple’s Store site.
Like the 3rd generation model before it, the new 4th generation iPad starts at $499 for the 16GB model. So what do you think, are you interested in the 4th generation iPad or not? Perhaps you are more interested in the new iPad Mini or the Samsung Nexus 10? One thing is for sure, this holiday season gives us tons of great tablets to choose from.
