I'd love to help you out. So you say first jump into the computer world--- like never used anything at all? Not even a desktop? Or do you mean just the first time with a tablet?

As far as simplicity goes, I honestly believe that Windows Surface's tile-based interface is pretty easy to use--- but if your husband has used Windows on desktop systems he might find it a little confusing since it is such a departure from the old style. If he is a blank slate for Windows altogether, the Surface might be perfect.

The Nexus 10 is really going to shine in price-compared-to-performance and in its larger app library. The rest comes down to preference. Both platforms are going to have a learning curve, though.

Hope that helps a little. Thanks for reading. :)

The A6X probably is triple-core like the A6. You should really wait for the benchmarks before doing any comparison.

I agree with you, they aren't ALL polar opposites. I suppose I directed that at the more hardcore fans from each group.

Many Android and iOS users are platform agnostic--- they buy whatever works. I tend to think of myself as a member of this group.

We have an iPad in our home, we also have an Acer tablet, I own an Android smartphone and I am considering a Windows 8/RT tablet in the future when I have more spare cash.

Anyhow, thanks for your comment! Have a good one. :)

Be careful not to classify apple and android fanboys as polar opposites... At this point I'm going with iPad 4 b/c of optimized apps, but my phone is/will be android. I want the best of both worlds
