The author of this article has clearly never used the app personally. Look at the rating and user reviews on the App Store. The app is horrible and people rather use the mobile website than waste space on their phone. Use it for yourself before you write about it.

I’ve noticed that when I’m on forums or websites in Safari where there are embedded YouTube videos, I can’t view them anymore. Previous to iOS 6 it would then start up apples YouTube app to play the video. When I click play now I get a message telling me to install flash. If this also happens to you, iFunia YouTube Converter can be a good choice.

A side effect that no one has addressed (as far as I know) is that the YouTube app will not transmit to an external monitor (TV) via cable hook up. I used to play YouTube videos from my iPad to my home TV, but the new app will no longer do that. I can still play my regular videos and NetFlix perfectly fine. Just letting you guys know.
