I had to do some reading about Aliyun before commenting. It seems that its look-and-feel is based on Android and that it’s binary-compatible with Android so Android app .apk files run on Aliyun without modification. I wonder if Google is contemplating suing Aliyun or perhaps have already contacted them about this issue.
I think Aliyun will dilute the Android experience and might even lead to even more malware that can infect Android phones because Aliyun’s app store will probably not have Android’s automated vetting and anti-malware filters. In China, Android users freely exchange apk files because the Play Store is still not available in the country. That’s why there is a huge incidence of malware infections there.
If Acer is already offering Android phones, why also offer phones running an Android clone which also takes away sales from (or even downright pirates) Android apps? Google I think is correct in warning Acer to stay away from Aliyun if they want to stay as an Android OEM. Acer should pick what direction to take.

Only one that seems to be talking is Alibaba...
I would think Acer would be screaming bloody murder if this was the case. They certainly didn't have a problem whimpering about Microsoft creating competing hardware.
I'll wait & see, Acer or Google is going to address this sooner or later.
