Want your own personal bartender, but don’t make thousands of dollars a day? How about a computerized bartender instead? You only need a few things like an Arduino board, the alcohol, the parts to assemble it and, well, the know-how.
Many of us probably can’t easily get ahold of that last one, but for those that love to tinker, something like the Inebriator is certainly achievable. The Inebriator is pretty simple in design, it moves up and down and has pumps that make a certain amount of liquor pour. The user places the glass on a pedestal and selects what drink they want to make, via the display on the front of the unit. The Inebriator device does need someone to select the drinks and place the glasses, but that’s about all the effort needed.
The video below will give you a better explanation of how it moves and adds the components, but needless to say this is pretty cool.
This is just a homemade amateur project that essentially only makes a few types of drinks right now, such as its namesake, the Inebriator. That’s not the point, though. This is a stepping stone, and it’s only a matter of time before more advanced machinery shows up that is capable of providing a true drink-mixing, bartending experience.
